Asia covers a vast geographical territory and supports hundreds of languages and cultures and many religious traditions

Peoples and Cultures of Asia 2
(IDST 1123)


An introduction to Asia in the modern era from geopolitical, religious, historical, social and cultural perspectives. It seeks to understand the ways of thinking found in South, Southeast and East Asia, the basic role of tradition in society, and the current challenges that confront this half of the world. May be offered for credit in comparative religion and sociology.
